Italy 2018
Introduction
Hello everyone,
We are Lucille and Robert from the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pa. This was our first official Rick Steves tour and we had a wonderful time. I use the word "official" because, when we went to Switzerland a few years ago, we followed Rick's suggestions in his tour book and TV show and we had a great trip. This time we decided to take an official Rick Steves trip, because we wanted the expertise of a tour guide.
We decided on the "Best of Venice, Florence and Rome" tour, see the link below. Booking the official Rick Steves tour was a great decision. Our tour guide, Patricia, was excellent. She knew all of the ins and outs of each city, was able to navigate through problems that would have been troublesome for us, helped us find things when we were on our own, and had a great sense of humor. We also were with a fun, easy-going group of people.
If you look below, you can tell that we aren't millennials because we have trouble taking selfies (as well as some wrinkles and grey hair). We ate a lot of good Italian food, and we especially liked the gelato (we are two-fisted eaters). This website is organized by the cities that we toured.
